Farmer’s Market begins new season on June 26
It’s finally time for the Bedford Farmers’ Market to return. On Tuesday, June 26, at the Benedectine Conservation Park on 333 Wallace Rd. , the market begins again with 16 farmers and vendors loaded with fresh herbs, potted and cut flowers, early spring produce, cheeses, milk, wine, coffee, baked goods, fresh fish and much more. Promptly at 3 p.m., the “ringing of the bells” will occur, and the market will officially open for its second season. The market will run every Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m., rig on the right side of Wallace Road. Look for the tents and come to check out the local farmers. Each of the 16 farmers and vendors from last year’s market are returning. New vendors include a make of N.H. goat cheese, a grower of beautiful cut flowers, new bakers with flatbread crackers and prepared foods. a maker of wonderful soaps. During its this season the organizers of the market have scheduled numerous events with music, live animals and unexpected surprises. Soon, relationships between shoppers at the market and the farmers, bakers, vintners, and other makers of the food people eat developed in a relaxed, open-air atmosphere. So on opening day, come down to experience the market, and don’t be surprised if there are other delights there as well — perhaps some live farm animals, or some singers. The market returns on June 26. It’s open to everyone — the fresh air, the fresh fruits, and vegetables, the chatting with your local farmers, the camaraderie of the visitors, the colors, the scents, the samples. It’s all there for you.
