Morgan’s Basket

Morgan’s Basket is named in memory of Morgan Wasserman who loved attending the Farmers’ Market with her family.

This program consists of a basket of items from the Farmer’s Market that can be delivered to someone in town who is experiencing difficulties in their life and who could use a community hug.

The basket is free of charge and are delivered each week at the end of the market session. The market hopes to deliver one Morgan’s Basket each week, but cannot promise that all requests for baskets will be honored. The Bedford Farmers’ Market is grateful to for the generous vendors and community members who have already contributed to the Morgan’s Basket program. Additional donations to defray the cost of Morgan’s Baskets are welcomed and would allow more baskets to be delivered.

Names of recipients will be kept confidential. Bedford Farmers’ Market Inc. is asking members of the community to let Farmers’ Market volunteers know any persons living in Bedford who could use a Morgan’s Basket.

To request a Morgan’s Basket for a Bedford resident or family, please email morgansbasket@bedfordfarmersmarket.com and make sure to include the following information:

  • The recipient’s name, address, and phone number
  • Any known strict dietary restrictions/food allergies for the recipient (the Market will do its best to make accommodations, but cannot honor specific requests)
  • Any known dates when the recipient cannot be home to receive their Basket
  • Your name, phone and/or email in case we have any questions
  • Whether you wish to be contacted if we cannot honor your request

If your request is accepted, a Morgan’s Basket will be delivered by the Bedford Farmers’ Market at some time before the end of the Market’s season in October.
